Proposition Wagers

What is a propositional bet?

Propositional bets are often called "props." These are exotic bets which typically involve specific events during a specified game. Any bet that cannot be classified a side or total wager is probably a prop.

What are examples of propositional bets?

The superbowl is famous for the large selection of prop bets... Here is a small selection of those wagers to give you some idea

Which team will score first?
Which team will score last?
Will either team score in the first X minutes?
Will the last score of the game be a field goal?
Will the team that scores first win the game?
Will the longest TD be over X yards?
What will the first penalty of the game be?
Will quarterback X throw an interception?
Will the longest rushing play be over X yards?
And many, many, many more possible.

What is the point of propostion bets?

They are fun... The odds of winning a high percentage of these is more random than being a good sportsbetter. But it adds another dimension to the game when you are worried about a team kicking a 41 vs 39 yard field goal.
