Boise State vs. Fresno State on Friday Night Football
One of the most interesting teams to watch this year is the Boise State Broncos. Boise State has a very good chance to run the table and go undefeated this season but they have a dangerous test on Friday night against Fresno State.
The Broncos are looking for a BCS bowl game and this could really happen since they have moved into the Top 10 in the rankings. Boise State is a 7-point road favorite at sportsbooks in Friday’s ESPN college football game from Bulldog Stadium.
Boise State and Fresno State have been the main powers of the Western Athletic Conference and Boise has gone 54-2 in the WAC straight up since 2002 but one of those losses came at Fresno State in 2005. Since that time the Broncos have won three straight against Fresno including a 61-10 massacre last season.
For all of the success the Broncos and Bulldogs have had, it’s often been a mismatch when they have clashed in conference.
Never was the difference between the eams between the teams more evident than in last year’s meeting in Boise, when the Broncos hit a tiebreaking field goal in the closing minutes of the first half and then scored all 48 points in the second half of a 61-10 victory over the Bulldogs.
Boise routed Miami of Ohio last week 48-0 in college football as Kellen Moore threw for 307 yards and four TDs in less than three quarters of work. Titus Young had 114 yards and two touchdowns.
“It’s nice to see him with a little bit of space and the ball in his hands,” coach Chris Petersen said. Boise’s defense looks great again this season. Last year they were the third best in the country and so far this season they have given up only eight points and 346 yards in an impressive show so far.
I love this Boise State team and this one should be a blast to watch.
