Some fantastic games tonight
I am really excited about the games this evening. I really see some great wagering opportunities tonight, summer is finally here, and I am going to grill out and watch some great hockey and basketball and maybe even a horse race on the computer. Here are my predictions and wagers for tonight.
Chicago 41-41 (Road: 13-28) Boston 62-20 (Home: 35-6) 7:00pm ET TV: TNT
My favorite game in the NBA playoffs goes tonight as the Boston Celtics host the Chicago Bulls. I know this series has been close but the truth is this series could have easily been over by now if the Celtics had of of been playing smart ball and Paul Pierce were coming through in the clutch. There is no doubt the series has been close, other than the Celtics’ 21-point Game 3 victory, every game has come down to the final possession. The truth is though Pierce should have won game 1 at the free throw line and game 4 he should have fouled Ben Gordon instead of allowing him to get off that three and the Celtics would have swept Chicago at home. He allowed Ben Gordon to get off a tying 3-point shot at the end of the first overtime instead of fouling Gordon and not allowing the attempt. Pierce was the help defender after Rajon Rondo got screened.
There is no way Boston plays like they did in game one where they seemed half asleep for most of the game. I dont feel like laying this amount of points and sweating a back door cover but I love the Celtics tonight. I am going to tease Boston with a few games tonight.

04/28/2009 @ 04:35 PM NBA ORL GM5 -2½-110 (B+6)
45.00 to win 25
Houston 53-29 (Road: 20-21) at Portland 54-28 (Home: 34-7) 10:00pm ET TV: NBATV
It looks like the size of Yao Ming and the youthfulness of the Blazers is finally catching up to Portland. The youngest team in the postseason has struggled with Houston’s Yao Ming and has now fallen behind 3-1 in the playoff series with the Rockets and faces elimination Tuesday night in Portland.
Yao had 21 points and 12 rebounds in an 89-88 victory over the Blazers on Sunday night. Once the other rockets were able to get him the ball inside, Yao was nearly unstoppable inside. When Portland tried to double him, that left someone else open to burn the Blazers.
I could see the blazers take this one ,maybe, but I am going to take the better team in Houston and the generous points in a teaser with Boston.

I love the NHL playoff games as well tonight. I have been burned by the Rangers all year long, just when you think they are going to come on full force they peter out and what really bothers me is their erratic goalie play. This has been happening all year. Maybe the Rangers will get back on track now that head coach John Tortorella’s returns in Game 7 . New York was absolutely dominated by the Capitals during the first 40 minutes of Game 6 allowing Washington to take a 5-1 lead after two periods on its way to a 5-3 victory.
The truth of the matter is the rangers haven’t been put in this position by
Sean Avery’s lack of discipline or Tortorella’s antics, but the uneven play of goalie Henrik Lundqvist. After putting in stellar performances and winning Games 1, 2 and 4, Lundqvist allowed the Capitals to score nine goals on 34 shots in Games 5 and 6 before being benched for the final period of Sunday’s matchup.
That is a bad sign heading up against Ovechkin and a hot Capitals offense and who seem to be a much better team without Jose Theodore. Since replacing netminder Jose Theodore with Simeon Varmalov in Game 2, Washington has really impressed me with how much more energy they have.
I am playing the Capitals in regulation

I hate to bet against the Hurricanes but I have to go with the Devils tonight and Brodeur. The Devils have been here before and Brodeur has the experience to win this.

I thought about betting on some horses tonight but I am holding off with so much else going on tonight.Guys, there are no sure thing in wagering but this horse that is running in the oaks is as close as you get. The horses name is Rachel Alexandra. This horse will destroy the competition. Here is some info on the Oaks, this is a great way to make some easy money.
This is how most Horse racing enthusiasts start the Derby weekend. Here is some info on the Oaks.
“A field of eight is entered for Friday’s running of the 135th Kentucky Oaks.
Post positions for the $500,000, fillies only race were drawn Tuesday morning at Churchill Downs.
The heavy favorite is Rachel Alexandra, with 3-to-5 odds for the mile-and-an-eighth race. She’ll run from the number six post position.
Rachel Alexandra is trained by Hal Wiggins and will be ridden by Calvin Borel.
The post position draw for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby will be held Wednesday at noon at Churchill Downs.
Here’s a rundown of the Oaks field from Churchill Downs:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 28, 2009) – L and M Partner’s brilliant Rachel Alexandra, who closed 2008 with a dominating victory in the Golden Rod (Grade II) beneath the Twin Spires of Churchill Downs, will put a four-race win streak on the line Friday when she faces seven rivals in the 135th running of the $500,000-added Kentucky Oaks (Grade I) at the legendary Louisville track.
The Oaks, America’s top race for 3-year-old fillies, will go as the 11th race on Friday with a 5:45 p.m. (all times EDT) post time. The 12-race Oaks Day card has a first post time of 10:30 a.m.”
Watch this horse and wager on her Friday.
