Final Four Predictions
Its has been one of the best NCAA tournaments for me in the past few years and I am really sorry to see it end. The Money line parlays I have been so successful on in this NCAA tournament are really quite profitable to play this time the year but can be disastrous during the regular season in certain sports. They are especially toxic during the upcoming baseball season, a sport where laying more than -150 or -160 in juice is usually a quick trip to the poor house.
I am coming off a loss that not only cost me 100$ but also destroyed my bracket. Louisville was my team to win it all this year and I had them on a ton of brackets this year. I had a alot of bracket entries, because I play at a lot of different books, but Louisville was in the finals in most of the bracket so that little moneymaking opportunity is shot.
This weekend promises to offer some pretty good wagers, I love Uconn straight up laying the chalk, and UNC in a parlay with Andy Murray in tennis and a unc UConn parlay. My main goal is to avoid too much other wagering in other leagues where teams may have little to play for and figuring out which team needs what is a time consuming task. The NCAA and the finals in Miami offer three great wagers this weekend.
One thing I believe is really important and is one of my greatest handicapping tools is to find the ATS records of teams left in the tournament. ATS is the against- the- spread results, basically how a team fared against the line set by bookmakers.
In tonight’s first game, Michigan State, who dominated top-seeded Louisville 64-52 last Sunday as a 6½-point underdog in the Elite Eight, kicks off athe final four against UConn. The Spartans are on a 10-1 SU and 8-3 ATS run, steamrolling through the NCAA Tournament with a 4-0 SU and ATS mark.
UConn has run the board as well in terms of beating the spread, Connecticut also heads into the semifinals with a 4-0 SU and ATS mark in the Tournament, capped by an 82-75 victory over third-seeded Missouri as a six-point favorite last Saturday.
The Suton vs. Thabeet should be one of the better clashes between big men so far in this tournament, but where the game will likely be won or lost is in the guard play out on the perimeter. This is where I believe UConn will win this game and will end up playing for a national championship.
Villanova is another team on really hot streak as they enter Saturday nights clash with the Tar Heels. Villanova, pursuing its first national title since 1985, beat No. 1 seed Pittsburgh for a 78-76 Elite Eight victory last Saturday as a two-point underdog, moving to 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS in the tournament so far. The Wildcats have won 16 of their last 19 starts , going 12-7 ATS in this incredible run.
North Carolina, back in the Final Four for a second straight year, has really dominated its opponents so far, going through this year’s Tourney with a 4-0 SU and ATS mark, easily beating second-seeded Oklahoma 72-60 last Sunday . The Tar Heels, who entered the tournament on a 9-2 Straight up record but building a poor 2-9 ATS record, have won all four of their tournament starts by double digits, averaging a incredible 88.7 ppg while allowing just 66.3 ppg.
