Tampa Bay Buccaneers leading rusher Earnest Graham will miss the rest of the season after injuring his right ankle during last week's victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Graham limped off the field after his only carry against the Vikings. The Bucs said he hurt his ankle, but did not release specifics about the injury.

  • Buccaneers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

Bucs running back Earnest Graham is likely lost for the season following an ankle injury he suffered in the their win over the Minnesota Vikings Sunday.

Graham, the team's leading rusher the past year and a half, was injured on his first rushing attempt of the game and did not return.

"I believe Earnest Graham's ankle looks to be a serious injury and his status for the rest of the season is very much in question right now," coach Jon Gruden said Monday.

The loss of Graham is particularly bad timing for the Bucs, who released a healthy Michael Bennett last week to make room on the roster to activate Cadillac Williams from the PUP list.

But Williams, who hasn't had any contact since rupturing his right patellar tendon 14 months ago, was inactive against...

No more bone-jarring tackles for John Lynch. The hard-hitting, nine-time Pro Bowl safety retired Monday, saying it was time to begin a new phase of life after 11 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and four more with the Denver Broncos.
